Five reasons to like Moonkin

World of Warcraft's portrayals of things are noticeably cartoony when compared to real life equivalents. Moonkin (also known as owlbears) and druids in Moonkin Form are no different, being any combination of cute, adorable, cuddly, pitiable and likeable.

1. Wide abdomen
Much like the bear, the moonkin has a wide profile. Also, much like the owl, the moonkin is covered with soft, fluffy feathers. These appeals to the hugger's touch.

2. Kick-ass dance routine
Moonkin have dance moves surprisingly energetic for their build, usually involving wing-flailing, spinning and forward thrusts of the hips. These moves may appeal to those liking improvised nightclub dancing. Considering the considerable stress the moonkin's body experiences, one might also worry about the state of their internal organs.

This moonkin is thrusting its hips forward.

3. Sleeping habits
Moonkin sleep with a wingtip in their beak. It may be observed that they are sucking their wingtip. This is reminiscent of the vulnerability of a baby, especially a baby human. Also, when they get up after a nap, they seem to defy friction!

4. Table manners
While not perfect dinner table etiquette, moonkin are much more meticulous with their eating than many other feral animals. They lift their food vertically off the serving surface with the tips of their talons, then carefully place the morsel in their beak. People tend to respect the discipline involved in etiquette, and with further practice, moonkin may even be able to sip from a teacup!

5. Flightlessness
Unlike owls, moonkin are too heavy for their wings and cannot produce flight. They are doomed to remain grounded, jealously observing their aviating cousins streaking the endless blue sky.

Spot the odd one out!
